Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's soccer team dropped a non-conference game against Ohio Northern University by a score of 3-1 on Shults Field.
In a scoreless first half, the Yeomen had several scoring opportunities despite being out shot 12-6. Junior
Brian James had a one-on-one opportunity with the keeper in the 14
th minute that went wide and senior
Timothy Williams got off a shot from close range off a nice feed from junior
Trenton Bulucea in the 32
nd minute that sailed high.
The Polar Bears had two great chances to score in the 22
nd minute with the Oberlin keeper out of the net, but two great saves by sophomore
Jake Crim and senior defender
Matthew Bach-Lombardo kept the game scoreless through 45 minutes of play.
Two minutes into the second half, the Yeomen finally broke through. Senior

Michael Candelori up field who sent a cross to senior defender
Jesse Lauritsen who tapped in the easy goal near the far post.
Ohio Northern would answer right back and scored three unanswered goals to close out the game.
Oberlin College falls to 3-2-1 and Ohio Northern goes to 4-2-1 on the year.
