WASHINGTON, Pa. – Oberlin College field hockey fell behind early to the Washington and Jefferson Presidents on their way to a 6-2 defeat on Wednesday night.
Despite the four-goal deficit in the second half, the Yeowomen rallied to pick up two goals in the latter 35.
The Presidents' kept the offensive pressure high, adding two more goals early to extend their lead to a comfortable 6-0 advantage early in the second.

Maggie Gossiaux and rookie
Kennedy Kline split time in the loss, combining for 10 stops. Gossiaux registered three saves, moving her season total to 178, while Kline finished with five stops against the Presidents'.
The defeat slides the Oberlin ladies to 1-16 overall with two North Coast Athletic Conference matchups left on the 2015 slate.
The Yeowomen return to action on Saturday afternoon, for a midday Halloween matchup with the Fighting Scots of the College of Wooster.
First whistle is set to blow at noon.
