SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Oberlin College field hockey traveled to Wittenberg for a Saturday afternoon NCAC showdown. The Tigers went ahead early and handed the Yeowomen a 4-1 loss after 70 minutes of action.
The Tigers climbed on top of the Yeowomen early, 2-0, with a pair of goals in the first half.
Oberlin cut the lead in half with the lone score of the game in the 48
th minute. A little over 12 minutes into the second stanza, second-year
Dillon Sebastian rattled home her first goal of the season to cut the Tiger lead to 2-1.
Wittenberg's Blaine Donnelly extended the Tiger lead with her second goal of the game in the 59
th. Trailing 3-1, the Yeowomen surrendered the fourth Wittenberg goal in the closing minutes to send Oberlin to a 4-1 loss.

Maggie Gossiaux finished with five save against the Tigers to move her season total to a North Coast Athletic Conference best, 175.
The Yeowomen will return to action on Wednesday, October 28, when they take on Washington and Jefferson.
