Springfield, Ohio - The No. 6 Wittenberg Tigers showed why they are one of the best teams in the country, taking care of the Oberlin College volleyball team by the scores of 25-10, 25-15, and 25-14 on Saturday afternoon at Pam Evans Smith Arena.
The Tigers' defense was stifling as the Yeowomen could never get into an offensive rhythm in the match. Oberlin finished with 19 kills against 32 errors.
Dana Thomas led Oberlin with six kills while
Jillian Hostetler chipped in with four.
Meredith Leung registered 13 assists, and
Molly Powers guided the defense with 14 digs.
The Tigers hit .184 for the match with Maddie Fischer and Karen Wildemann leading the way with seven kills each.
Oberlin will be back in action when it travels to Denison University on Tuesday night. The first serve is set for 7 p.m.
