OBERLIN, Ohio – Oberlin College field hockey dropped their final home match of 2015 to the fierce DePauw University Tigers, 6-0.
The Tigers knocked through three first half goals to put the Yeowomen behind early. DePauw netted three more goals in the second to keep the Oberlin ladies winless in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
DePauw played stifling defense in the first, not allowing a shot from the Oberlin front line.
The Yeowomen mustered just two shots on goal in the second, both coming from leading scorer, junior
Maureen Coffey.
Fellow junior, goalkeeper
Maggie Gossiaux had a busy afternoon in net finishing with 18 stops in the loss. Her performance against the Tigers moves her season save total to a conference-best 163 and the Metuchen, New jersey native holds a season save percentage of .741.
The Yeowomen return to action on Friday, October 23 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio and the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
