Springfield, Ohio – The Oberlin College volleyball team dropped a straight set decision to the DePauw University Tigers in the opening round of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday night. The seventh-seeded Yeowomen were defeated 25-16, 25-13 and 25-17.
The Yeowomen offense struggled to find its rhythm, hitting just .140 for the match.
Maddy Dunn finished with a team-high seven kills as she hit an impressive .313. Rookie
Dana Thomas also added four kills on five swings, hitting .800 for the match.
Meredith Leung had 15 assists, two aces and 10 digs in the setback.
Molly Powers contributed with 15 digs on the night.
The second-seeded Tigers hit .291 as four different players had at least seven kills. Lauren Falotico led the Tigers' attack with nine.
Oberlin will take on Allegheny College tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the consolation bracket.
