Richmond, IN – The Oberlin College volleyball team concluded its regular season by splitting a pair of matches on the campus of Earlham College on Saturday evening.
The Yeowomen dropped a five-set heartbreaker to Mount St. Joseph 18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 13-15, before bouncing back to defeat the host Quakers in four sets 26-24, 25-27, 25-21, 25-21.
Maddy Dunn and
Claudia Scott combined for 50 kills over the two matches as Scott sent down 28 balls, while Dunn hammered in 22 kills while hitting an impressive .349.
Meredith Leung had the offense going as she recorded 75 assists to go along with a team-high six aces on the day. On the backline it was
Molly Powers who paced the Yeowomen with 56 digs.
The Yeowomen end the regular season with a record of 12-17 and enter next weekend's NCAC Tournament as the seventh seed. The Yeowomen will take on second-seeded DePauw on Friday at 7 p.m. on the campus of Wittenberg University.
