Wooster, Ohio – Oberlin volleyball cemented a spot in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament with a 3-0 victory over the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Saturday afternoon.
The Yeowomen advance to 11-15 overall and 2-5 in the NCAC, while the Scots slide to 1-6 in the league and 7-18 on the season.
The Oberlin women fought off the Scots in the first set to earn a 25-22 victory. It was a team effort offensively that led to the Yeowomen taking the next two sets, 25-15, 25-20 and earning their second NCAC triumph of the year.
The 3-0 sweep is redemption for the 1-3 loss that the Scots handed the Yeowomen back in September at the 2014 Kilt Classic.
Sophomores

Maddy Dunn led the Yeowomen offensively with six kills each. First years
Claudia Scott and
Dana Thomas got involved with five kills a piece.
Meredith Leung led the Yeowomen in assists against the Fighting Scots as she has all season. The sophomore, Lomita, California native collected a game-high 26 assists moving her season total to 685.
It was a collective defensive effort against the Fighting Scots as five different Yeowomen registered digs. Junior libero
Molly Powers led the way with eight.
Oberlin volleyball will return to the court in their NCAC finale at Hiram College. The Yeowomen and Terriers will square of on Wednesday, October 29, at 7 p.m.
