Clermont, Fla. –
Instead of playing a split doubleheader between Manchester and Webber International, the Oberlin College softball team played a traditional twinbill against Manchester and lost both games, falling 16-2 and 12-4 on Friday.

Senior Julia Chauvin had nice day at the plate for the Yeowomen as she went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the nightcap and also had a run-producing hit in game one.

First-year Brittany Dawson came through with an RBI that led to Oberlin's second run of the game.

Oberlin (2-16) took advantage of a few errors by the Panthers in game two, which also saw first-year Cheryl Lindsly record an RBI.

Oberlin returns home to open up conference play on Wednesday afternoon when the Yeowomen will welcome The College of Wooster to Culhane Field for a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader. Fans that cannot make it to the game can follow all of the action via live statistics.
