Simon & Carter Tabbed NCAC Honorable-Mention

Jeremy Simon & P.J. Carter were named to the All-NCAC Honorable-Mention Team.
Westlake, Ohio – The senior duo Jeremy Simon and #P.J. Carter# were named to the All-NCAC Honorable-Mention Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Simon, a native of Oakland, California, finished second on the team with a .316 batting average and 23 RBI. He was the only Yeoman to play in all 40 games while leading the way in doubles (10), total bases (55), slugging (.470) and home runs (2). This is the second time in his career that Simon has garnered honorable-mention honors as he also received the award back in 2007.

Carter, a local product from nearby Lorain, Ohio, won the award as a pitcher, but was also a big contributor at the plate as he finished second on the squad in doubles (9) and RBI (22). On the mound, Carter made 12 relief appearances, earning a 2-0 record in addition too locking down three saves. In 21.2 innings pitched, Carter recorded 18 strikeouts and walked just five.

As a team, Oberlin finished 15-25 overall and 5-11 in the NCAC.
