Shelby Edwards

Shelby Edwards enters his first season with the Oberlin men's soccer team during the 2025-26 year.

No stranger to Division III, Edwards comes to the Crimson and Gold after spending the last year at Mount Union, where he worked with both the men's and women's teams. Helping to coach the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Defender, Offensive Player, and Most Valuable Players of the Year, Edwards shared OAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors with the women's team.

Before his time with the Purple Raiders, Edwards spent seven seasons with former North Coast school, Hiram. In his first four years, Edwards competed as a student-athlete for the Terriers, making 32 starts in 37 appearances. In his senior year, Edwards started all 16 games and ranked at the top of the NCAC for saves with 112.

Making his coaching debut at his alma mater, Edwards served as the Interim Head Coach for the 2022 season before continuing his time with the Terriers as an assistant under the direction of Joe Chmura.

In addition to his work with Oberlin, Edwards is a coach at Cleveland Force (2009 ECNL-RL & 2010 ECNL-RL Boys) and the Program Manager for the U15 - U19 Boys Program.
