Aubrey Shaner

Assistant Aubrey Shaner returns to Coach Grossman’s staff as the offensive coordfinator for the second year.

A graduate of West Geauga High School on the east side of Cleveland, Shaner completed his undergraduate work at Kent State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2013.

He began his coaching career at West Geauga, where he was an assistant from 2011 to 2013. As the Middie/Goalie coach, Shaner helped the school’s faceoff specialist to first team all-region and second team all-state honors before moving into an assistant coach position at nearby Lake Catholic High School for the 2014 season.

In 2015, before coming to Oberlin, Shaner was a volunteer assistant coach at John Carroll University, mentoring the Blue Streak’s face-off specialist to honorable mention All-OAC laurels.

In his first year with Oberlin men's lacrosse, Shaner helped the Yeomen’s face-off specialist, Kinori Rosnow, to first team all-conference and first team all-region honors. With Shaner’s guidance, Rosnow finished atop the North Coast Athletic Conference winning 227-of-343 (66.2%) faceoffs and lead the league in ground balls with 130.
