Timothy McCrory is in his eighth season as the lead assistant for the Oberlin College men's basketball team, earning a promotion to associate head coach prior to the start of the 2017-18 season.
McCrory came to Oberlin from the University of Missouri where he worked as a graduate assistant in the school’s Life Skills program.
A former Division I player at the University of Vermont, McCrory played for the Catamounts for four seasons before graduating with a bachelor’s of science in marketing and strategic communication in 2008. During his senior season, McCrory averaged over 20 minutes a game, and in his career he played in a total of 104 games.
“I am very excited to add Coach McCrory to our staff,” Cavaco said at the time of his hire. “He has played for some great coaches and brings instant credibility as a former Division I player that excelled on the court and in the classroom. His energy and enthusiasm was infectious during the interview process and I can't wait to see him positively influence the program."
A four-time selection to America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll, McCrory has also worked in the development office at Missouri, and for the Attorney General’s office in Vermont.
McCrory earned a master’s degree in public administration from Missouri in May of 2010.
