Anthony Trotta joined the Yeomen in Spring of 2021 to coach wide receivers and special teams in addition to holding the role of recruiting coordinator.
Trotta came to Oberlin after spending the 2020-21 at NCAA DIII program John Carroll where he served as the special teams coordinator and tight ends Coach. Trotta coached the Blue Streaks to a pair of conference wins in their shortened season this spring. He helped coach an offense that averaged 4.8 yards per play while totaling 315 yards per game. Under his guidance, John Carroll’s special teams units saw equal success throughout the shortened season. Highlighted by blocking a field goal attempt and returning it for a touchdown against conference rival Baldwin Wallace.
Prior to John Carroll, Trotta spent the 2019 season as the defensive line coach at NCAA DIII program Wilkes University. At Wilkes, Trotta mentored a defensive line unit that held opponents to just 105.4 rushing yards per game while wrapping up 15.5 sacks during an 8-win campaign.
Trotta began his coaching career at Riverside High School (Taylor, Pennsylvania). During his time at Riverside, Trotta held the role of defensive coordinator, linebackers coach. Trotta also served as a special education teacher for the district, teaching learning support.
A 2017 graduate of Wilkes University, Trotta earned a bachelor of arts in elementary and early childhood education with a special education certification. During his time at Wilkes he was a linebacker and senior special teams captain for the Colonels.
