Alec Torgerson enters his second season as the running backs coach for the Yeomen in 2017.
In his first season working with the Yeomen runners, Oberlin rushed for 361 more yards than the season prior. The Oberlin ground gainers also produced 14 touchdowns compared to just five in 2016.
Prior to joining the Oberlin coaching staff, he coached at Cuyahoga Heights High School in 2015-16 and was an assistant on the 2016 team which advanced to the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division 6 State Championship game.

Torgerson played running back/fullback for four seasons at Notre Dame College where he blocked for two different 1,000-yard rushers. He graduated from Notre Dame College with a bachelor of arts in communication and minored in coaching.Â
