Tiffany Saunders

Tiffany Saunders enters her fifth season as the head coach of the Oberlin Field Hockey program in 2019.

Played four overtime games and had seven one-goal games in 2016. The team scored 16 goals and gave up 23 less goals in 2016 than the season prior.

Saunders came to Oberlin after serving as the lead assistant coach at Radford University (VA) since 2009. On the field she worked closely with the team's forwards and goalies, while off of the field she was known for her tireless recruiting efforts.

A member of National Field Hockey Coaches Association and graduate of Alliance of Women Coaches Academy, Saunders also is a member of the USA Field Hockey Association.

  • Earned her first collegiate win with a 2-1 triumph over Bethany (Oct. 6, 2015)
  • Guided Maggie Gossiaux to first-team All-NCAC honors (2015-2016) and has had five players earn All-NCAC honors in her first two seasons.
  • Led numerous team members to NFHCA National Academic Squad, including honors recipient Aditi Banerjee
  • Was the lead assistant coach at Radford University from 2009-14
  • Four-year starter at Radford, helping the Highlanders to a runner-up finish in the 2003 NorPac Tournament and a 2004 East Division Championship, which included a perfect 6-0 regular season
  •  Left Radford ranked second in career assists with 20, with 18 coming over her final two seasons in a Highlander uniform
  • Worked various camps while coaching at the club level in addition to providing individual instruction to players of all levels
