Alex Chambers begins her first-year as the assistant field hockey coach in 2019.

Chambers comes to Oberlin after serving as the assistant athletic director and head field hockey coach at Mount De Sales Academy in Catonsville, Maryland since January 2017.

During that same time, she was also a volunteer assistant field hockey coach at Stevenson University (2013-2018).
 
Chambers experience coaching at the recreation level as the director of beginners field hockey camps for the city of Towson, MD from 2013-2016.
 
Her coaching career started at Mercy High School in Baltimore, MD as the head varsity field hockey coach for three seasons (2006-2008), winning conference championships in each season and being recognized as the Baltimore City Field Hockey Coach of the Year.
 
Chambers earned her bachelor’s degree in issues in community health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2008 where she was a member of the field hockey team. She received her master’s degree in athletic leadership and administration from Goucher College in 2015.
