Women's Soccer Hosts Denison in Home Matchup

Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College women's soccer team hosted Denison on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to the Big Red in the North Coast Athletic Conference action.

The Big Red applied early pressure, earning a corner kick in the opening minutes before goalkeeper Roam Redington made several saves to keep the visitors at bay. Oberlin looked to respond, with Averi Williams sending the lone team shot wide of the goal. Denison broke through in the 15th minute to take a 1-0 lead and added another goal in the 28th minute. Redington recorded four saves in the first half as the Crimson and Gold worked to contain the Big Red's attack.

Denison continued its offensive pressure to open the second half, earning multiple corner kicks before Asha Locke came in at the half and started with a saved penalty kick in the 48'. The Big Red found the net shortly after in the 49' to make it 3-0, then added a fourth goal in the 57'.

Locke remained active in goal throughout the second half, making additional stops to finish with seven saves across 45 minutes. The Oberlin defense continued to work through Denison's attacking chances, while the Crimson and Gold made substitutions throughout the contest to bring fresh legs onto the field.
