Delaware, Ohio – After a reset with the end of the year, the Oberlin College men's basketball team returned to the court for a road contest against Ohio Wesleyan. After a strong second half effort, the Yeomen dropped the game 75-69.
Zach Smith continued his hot streak with another 20-point game, including five rebounds and five assists. Alongside him was
Milun Micanovic with 17 points and 13 rebounds, recording his third double-double of the season.
Rob Magner also finished in double-digits with ten points and a team-best seven assists.
After Micanovic got the scoring started with a layup on the first possession, the Yeomen continued to roll with a triple from Smith to take a 7-5 lead. Smith scored the next eight points, but the Battling Bishops got the best of the Yeomen and took a 39-29 lead to end the half.
Matt Andreopoulos opened the second half with a three-pointer, followed by buckets from Micanovic and Smith to cut the lead to three. The Battling Bishops responded accordingly to regain their ten-point lead. Despite a last-stitch effort from the Crimson and Gold that brought the game within two at 2:23, Ohio Wesleyan held their lead through the final minutes of action to clinch victory.
