Bronxville, New York – Finishing their New York trip on Saturday night, the Oberlin College men's basketball team dominated Sarah Lawrence.
Milun Micanovic recorded his first double-double of the season recording 17 points a career-best 16 rebounds. The Yeomen move to 3-2 on the year.
Also finishing with 17 points,
JJ Gray added another five rebounds and a block in the game.
Sam Kamenko balanced his stat line with eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
Zach Bronson, Gray, and Micanovic all notched blocks in the game.
Opening the game with a three-point opportunity, Micanovic scored the tip-in and drilled his free throw to put Oberlin up 3-0 over Sarah Lawrence. The Yeomen continued to roll, taking a double-digit lead with a
Zach Smith triple. Leading the entire half, Oberlin grabbed their largest lead of 15 when
Uros Petrusic tipped the ball in the hoop. The Gryphons responded with a three-pointer, but
Adam Navarre hit a shot from behind the arch to regain it.
Sarah Lawrence came out of the halftime break soaring, scoring ten points to cut the Oberlin lead to two. Micanovic broke the dry spell at 16:16 with a layup after Sarah Lawrence turned the ball over. Seemingly unstoppable Micanovic dunked the ball not once, but twice in the ensuing minutes, highlighting an 11-2 run to secure the second-straight win for the Yeomen.
Oberlin stays on the road for their next matchup against PAC rival Allegheny on Wednesday, November 19. Oberlin begins the hunt for three wins in a row at 7 p.m.
