Oberlin, Ohio – For the 12th year, the Oberlin College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in collaboration with the Athletics Department, is hosting their annual Track or Treat event in the John W. Heisman Fieldhouse. Set for Thursday, October 30, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., all are welcome to join in on the festivities.
The Oberlin community is invited to dress up in costumes, come to the indoor track, and play games with Oberlin's varsity student-athletes and teams. Over the last 11 years, more than 2,500 children and families have attended the seasonal event.
"It's one of our favorite events of the year, and we are thrilled to keep this tradition running." Said
Creg Jantz, Senior Associate Director of Athletics and SAAC Advisor.
"As Halloween rapidly approaches, we are super excited to host another year of Track or Treat!" SAAC Co-Chair Jillian Jendsen adds, "It is always a great opportunity for student-athletes and local families to celebrate the start of fall and the holiday season together. The excitement and joy of the event not only bring our community together but are also something that athletes look forward to year-round!"
All ages are welcome, and children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
