Oberlin, Ohio – For the 13th year, the Oberlin College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in collaboration with the Athletics Department, is hosting their annual Track or Treat event at Kahn Track & Shults Field. Set for Thursday, October 29, from 6:30-8 p.m., all members of the community are welcome to join in on the festivities.
The Oberlin community is invited to dress up in costumes, come to the indoor track, and play games with Oberlin's varsity scholar-athletes and teams. Over the last 12 years, more than 2,500 children and families have attended the seasonal event.
"
Community service is at the heart of what it means to be a scholar-athlete at Oberlin, bridging our campus with the local community,"
Creg Jantz Senior Associate Director of Athletics and SAAC Advisor adds.
"It's hard to believe Track or Treat is in its 13th year. Every year, our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee does an incredible job bringing this event to life, showcasing not only our scholar-athletes' dedication in competition and the classroom, but their deep commitment to giving back."
"We are looking forward to
Track or Treat happening so soon! We can't wait to see all the joy that brings our Oberlin Athletics and greater community together," SAAC Co-Chair
Emily Berger continues.
All ages are welcome, and children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
