Crawfordsville, Indiana – Traveling to the Hoosier state for their North Coast contest, the Oberlin College men's soccer team returned home with a 4-0 loss to Wabash.

Lukas Verling earned the start for the Yeomen, clocking a full 90 minutes. In cage, the sophomore made six saves against a blistering Wabash offense.

On the attack,
Walter Gomez-Torres led the team with a pair of shots, while
Rayaan Mohamed added a shot of his own.

The Little Giants struck twice in the first ten minutes of the match, capitalizing on a pair of Crimson and Gold miscues. Hot off a 2-0 lead, Wabash sent another shot towards cage, but Verling came up with the stop. Oberlin held off the Little Giants for the next ten minutes before Verling stopped another shot at the 39:07 mark.

Coming out of the half, Mohamed got the game started with a shot on cage, but the ball fell just off target. Wabash responded with another goal to extend their lead to three. The Yeomen struggled to gain possession on their attacking half of the field before Wabash added one last insurance goal to seal the win.

Oberlin returns to action on Wednesday, October 22 when they host Wooster at home. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
