OBERLIN, OH --The Oberlin College volleyball team could not overcome a dynamic Gators offense Tuesday at home falling to Allegheny in straight sets (13-25, 16-25, 13-25).
The non-conference loss dropped Oberlin to 2-8 on the season.
Natalie Dufour finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Yeowomen offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .538. OC got 13 digs from Iris Archibald to lead them defensively.

» Zeynep Kaya had a team-high two aces in the loss.
» Natalie Dufour had just one error on nine swings.
» Allegheny hit .231 as a team while Oberlin finished at .010 with just 19 kills against 20 errors.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Yeowomen fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-13. Oberlin trailed by as many as 12 points as Allegheny grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up just once before the Gators took control.
SET 2 | Oberlin lost set two 25-16, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Yeowomen fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Oberlin was not able to win set three and was swept by Allegheny. The Yeowomen lost the first point and never took the lead before losing the set 25-13.
