Oberlin Cross Country Runs Well in Indiana

Terre Haute, IN - The Oberlin College cross country teams crossed state lines for a twilight run at the LaVern Gibson Championship course in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The Yeowomen placed second out of nine teams with 75 points, while the men's squad ended fourth out of 12 teams with 102 points.

The season-long pack of Eliza Medearis and Sage Reddish continued with Medearis taking sixth place in 23:18.3, while Reddish followed in 23:25.8 to lead the Oberlin contingency.

Senior Margo Lee checked in 29th with a time of 25.07.6, while sophomore Amber Borofsky was five spot backs with a mark 25:20.1.

The Oberlin top-five was completed by junior Caleigh Lyons who came through the chute in 25:35.7 to place 39th in the 113-runner field.

Walter Moak guided the men's team effort, finishing 15th in 26:20.1 with fellow junior Jonah Barber following in at 26:33.9 to place 25th overall.

Sophomore Charlie Endres impressed with a time of 26:42.2 to place 28th in the 183-runner field.

Junior Danny Markey checked in 39th in with a timestamp of 27:11.6, while classmate Johnny Ragsdale was two spots back in 27:15.8 to complete Oberlin's point producers.

The cross country teams are idle next weekend before heading out to the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on October 14.
