Alliance, OH & Rock Island, IL- With the end of outdoor season quickly approaching, select members of the Oberlin College Track and Field Team competed in last chance meets across the midwest today in attempts to qualify for NCAA DIII Championships.
Starting in Alliance, OH, at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet, fourth-year
Iyanna Lewis capped her regular season career with a first place finish in women's hammer, throwing 164-5.00 (50.12m).
Eight hours west in Rock Island, IL at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Invitational, fellow fourth-year
Zack Lee also found success, finishing seventh in long jump with a jump of 22-05.25 (6.84m) and fourth in the triple with a mark of 46-02.75 (14.09m).

Chilly Wallace also competed in the triple jump as well, finishing ninth with a jump of 37-08.50 (11.49m).
On the track, the men's record-breaking 4x400m relay consisting of
Kambi Obioha,
Cole Fuller,
Sam Fechner, and
Simon Lowe fell just short of their best finish, crossing the line in 3:17.36 and placing 13th.
With the final competition completed, the team now awaits the announcement for NCAA Championship Qualifiers that will be made later today, Friday, May 19.
