Oberlin, OH – After playing a close game through three quarters, the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team found themselves in card trouble as they fell 20-13 to DePauw on Saturday afternoon. The NCAC loss moves Oberlin to 0-1 in conference action and 6-5 overall.
Audrey Koren led the scoring for the Crimson and Gold offense with a trio of goals. Four more players chipped in two goals each, while

Anchoring the defense,
Janny McCormick earned her first career start in cage where she made ten saves and three ground balls.
Giuliana Urban and
Caroline Lee combined for nine ground balls and Lee added another four caused turnovers.
Three Tiger goals in the opening minute set the tone of the game as Oberlin began battling from behind. Koren got the Yeowomen started with a man-down goal, then followed that up 45 seconds later with another score.
Megan Hiller added one more in the final minutes of the first quarter, but not before DePauw could add another goal to their total.
Down 9-5 midway through the second quarter,
Katie McMorris kicked off a three-goal run for Oberlin to cut the Tigers' lead to one. DePauw scored in the final seconds of the half to hold a 10-8 lead at the break.
Lauren Mills opened the third quarter with a goal as Oberlin battled to gain momentum. DePauw responded with three more goals before the end of the quarter. The visitors picked up where they left off in the fourth quarter with two more goals as they extended their lead to five.
Hiller found McMorris inside the eight meter to cut the Tigers' run short, but after earning their fourth yellow card, the Yeowomen were forced to play man-down for a full two minutes. DePauw scored five-straight goals, three coming in man-up opportunities, to secure a 20-11 lead. In the final minute, both Koren and
Alexis Escobedo added goals, but it was too little too late as Oberlin fell 20-13.
