Oberlin, OH – The Oberlin College women's lacrosse extended their win streak to three after taking down Franciscan on Wednesday night. Both
Lauren Mills and
Megan Hiller tallied four points in the 15-8 victory as the Yeowomen move to 3-2 on the season.
The attacking tandem accounted for eight points in the team's victory with Mills adding four goals and Hiller notching three.
Katie McMorris brought in a career-high seven draw controls.
On the defensive end of the game, Sophie Ferrantelli earned the start in cage, accounting for four saves on the night. Carline Lee led the backline with a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers.
Right off the draw, McMorris got the Crimson and Gold on the board with a shot and goal at the 14:32 mark.
Emily Shimabukuro and Mills chimed in with goals of their own as Oberlin opened with a 3-0 advantage. The Barons responded to close the gap within one but
Abbie Patchen and Shimabukuro scored again to pull back ahead to 5-3 at the end of the quarter. Both teams scored a pair in a slow-paced second quarter, as Mills and Hiller added to their goal counts.
The warmth of the locker room gave Oberlin the momentum they needed as they played a dominant third quarter. Backed by Lee and McMorris, the defense held the Barons scoreless through 15 minutes, while the offense doubled up on their visitors. A pass from

Franciscan scored first in the final period of play, but just a minute later
