Alliance, OH – The Oberlin College women's lacrosse team traveled to Mount Union on Tuesday evening where they fell to the Raiders 15-2. The Raiders are ranked #6 in Region VI and maintain their undefeated record while the Yeowomen fall back to 4-3.
 
Only Abbie Patchen and Lauren Mills notched goals in the low-scoring affair, both coming unassisted. On the defensive end, Sophia Ferrantelli stood tall in goal with an impressive 13 saves while Olivia Corradi and Giuliana Urban both tallied a pair of caused turnovers. Ellie Jensen added to the efforts with a team-high six draw controls.
 
Mount Union put up four early goals in the first quarter, but behind a goal from Patchen at the 5:46 mark, the Crimson and Gold got on the board. The second quarter was all purple as the home team scored seven-straight goals before the half.
 
Down 11-1 Oberlin battled to stay in the game, but the Raiders added another goal to start the half. The Yeowomen locked in and held off Mount Union through the rest of the quarter while Mills tacked on the team's second goal. As the final quarter got underway Mount Union added goal #13 before scoring another two to win the game 15-2.
 
The Yeowomen take a week off to recover before getting back on the field for the first of two Spring Break games. The team takes on Warner in Florida on Monday, March 20 at 5pm.
