ERIE, PA - Ellie Pollock-Ballard scored 22 points to lead the Oberlin College women's basketball team over the Penn State-Behrend Lions on Sunday afternoon. Oberlin started out the scoring by going on a 7-0 run, finishing in a bucket from Jefferson, to take an early lead with 8:01 left in the first quarter. The Yeowomen then added nine points to that lead by the end of the period and entered the quarter-break with a 23-7 advantage. The Crimson and Gold relied on its three-point shooting in the period, knocking down five shots to account for 15 of its 23 points.

The team kept their first-quarter lead intact before going on a 6-0 run starting at the 9:20 mark in the second period, highlighted by a three from Pollock-Ballard, to increase its lead to 29-8. The Lions cut into that lead, but the Yeowomen still enjoyed a 39-24 advantage heading into halftime. Oberlin was strong from deep in the period, knocking down four three-point shots to account for 12 of its 16 points.

Opening the half with a 5-0 run, Krystal Montas punctuated that run with a basket to expand its lead further to 53-41. Oberlin took advantage of five Penn State-Behrend turnovers in the quarter, and scoring four points off of those takeaways.
