Ada, OH – The Oberlin College baseball team mustered just three hits in an 11-1 loss at Ohio Northern University on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears pounced all over the Yeomen, leading 4-0 through three innings and would only add on from there as Oberlin pitching surrendered 11 hits, four walks, and three hit batters.
The three Yeomen hits came courtesy of
Max Anastasio,
Nicolas Rosa-Palermo, and
Yianni Gardner.
Oberlin's lone run of the game came in the fourth inning as Gardner singled up the middle to plate Anastasio after he doubled earlier in the frame.
ONU scored in six of the eight innings as the Yeomen never threatened the outcome.
Oberlin has now lost six in a row to fall back to 7-25. The Yeomen are scheduled to be in action on Tuesday at Otterbein with first pitch set for 4:00 p.m.
