Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Yeomen Rolls Over Wabash for Eighth-Straight Win

Oberlin, OH- The Oberlin men's lacrosse team kept the win streak rolling with another NCAC blowout. In a dominate 23-6 win over Wabash, the Yeomen move to 9-1 on the season and remain undefeated in conference action.

Getting his first goal of the season was not enough for Aidan Johnston who finished with another three goals and led the Crimson and Gold offense in the win. Tom Decker also chipped in four goals while Niko Maheras and Michael Muldoon added five points each. On the faceoff, Connor Quinn lead the way going 15-16 and scooping up 11 ground balls.

On the defensive end, Colin Regan kept the Little Giants off the board with three caused turnovers and a ground ball. Kiernan Stone and Christian Pfennig also helped oil the offense with a combined ten ground balls. Splitting time in cage were Justin Bader, Joe Barocas, and Eugene Kang. Kang earned the start and made eight saves on the afternoon.

As the game got underway, Decker got the Yeomen on the board with score from Ryan Blasberg just two minutes into action. Maheras and Max Cha added another pair of goals before Wabash finally got on the board. It would be the only score for the Little Giants in that first half as Oberlin rolled to put another ten goals on the board highlighted by a last second goal from LSM JT Starcke to end the half.

Up 13-1 at the beginning of the third quarter, Cha and Colton Hayes put away back-to-back goals in just two seconds. Oberlin scored another two goals before Wabash ended the drought with their second goal of the game. The home team outscored Wabash 6-3 in the final quarter to secure the lopsided victory.
