Pittsburgh, PA- The Oberlin College men's tennis team took the road east to visit DI Duquesne University. Highlighted by a single win from the No. 3 doubles team of
Grant North and
Rohan Gold, the Yeomen fell 7-0 to the Dukes. The loss moves Oberlin to 1-6 in dual matches this year.

Neither duo of
Sean Billerbeck and
James Dill nor
Sebastien Naginski and
Ben Echikson were able to do much against the Dukes, falling in the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles slots 6-0 and 6-2, respectively. In the third spot, North and Gold claimed victory by 6-4, but it was not enough as Duquense took the doubles point.

In singles action, Billerbeck played in the No. 1 spot but fell to his opponent 6-1, 6-2. Dill battled in the No. 2 spot putting up small numbers in 6-1, 6-1 as well. Starting slow, and dropping the first game 6-1, Gold amassed a small comeback but fell short 6-4 to concede the loss.
Sam Topper also struggled against his Dukes counterpart dropping 6-1, 6-2 before Naginski fell 6-2, 6-1. In the final singles spot, North battled to point but eventually was overcome 6-1, 6-0.

The Yeomen are back in action next Saturday at home against Division II Tiffin on Saturday, March 12. The first serve is set for 4pm.
