Alma, Michigan- Getting their 2022-23 season off to a phenomenal start, the Oberlin College women's basketball team dominated Alma in a 77-62 victory on Tuesday night.
Coming back as strong as ever,
Bryana Woodard led the Yeowomen in the scoring department with 22 points to go along with five rebounds and a pair of blocks. Right behind her was
Alyson Jefferson with 17 points and first-year
Angela Kumler with an impressive 12-point debut. The rookie guard added in another six rebounds and three steals, getting her Oberlin career off to a hot start.

In true Oberlin fashion, the Yeowomen put up big numbers in the opening period, scoring 28 points and shooting 52.4% from the field.

Joe Howard, also brought in seven different players off the bench who totaled nine points and a trio of rebounds.

Even in the final period when the Scots outscored the Yeowomen 15-12, Oberlin still out-rebound Alma nine to five and hit six to Alma's three field goals. From top to bottom, the Yeowomen looked in midseason form en route to bringing home the season-opening win.

The Yeowomen return to the court on Friday night at Adrian College. Tip-time is set for 7 p.m.
