Volleyball Goes 2-0 on Saturday Afternoon

Sandusky, OH- The Yeowomen volleyball team traveled to Sandusky for the second day in a row to take on a pair of MIAA opponents for the final day of the NCAC/MIAA Challenge. First up, they faced Kalamazoo who they handled swiftly in 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-17) fashion. The team then faced Saint Mary's for a more competitive match but finished on the right side of a 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-20) victory. With the two wins, Oberlin records their fifth-straight victory and moves to 5-3 on the season.

The Crimson and Gold started the day at 12:30 facing the Hornets of Kalamazoo. The match opened with both teams swapping points until the Yeowomen were able to build momentum in the final serves of the set. Kills from Andréa Jones and Cami Sweet gave Oberlin the first set victory, 25-23. The Yeowomen dominated the second set, going on a 7-1 run before winning another five-consecutive points thereafter.

DeHaro closed out the win with a service ace to secure the 2-1 lead.
