Yeomen Crush Lords at Home

Oberlin, OH – The Oberlin men's basketball team took down NCAC rival Kenyon in by double digits on Thursday night. The 82-69 home victory was led by double-double performance form
Dorde Otasevic who put up 22 points and added 12 rebounds. The win improves the Yeomen to an even 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference action.
Oberlin began the game from behind after an early three-pointer from Kenyon, but a ten-point run over the next three minutes gave the Yeomen a solid 12-7 advantage. The two teams went point-for-point until a layup from Otasevic tied the game at 21-21 midway through the first half.
Wolf Moser and Otasevic each knocked down treys over the next couple possessions to keep pace with the Lords. Down the stretch of the half,
Dimitrije Radusinovic drilled another shot from behind the arc to give Oberlin the 38-27 lead at the half. The home team capitalized off Kenyon turnovers, totaling 12 points while hitting six three-pointers in the first half.

Yuuki Okubo got the scoring stared in the second half, followed by Radusinovic with a pair of jumpers and a three-pointer to extend the Oberlin lead. Kenyon kept tight with the Crimson and Gold until
Cole Otley hit his first three of the night. The offensive momentum kept rolling as both
Anastasis Spyroglou and Radusinovic hit 3PTRs. Just as the half hit the midway mark, Otasevic sprinted down court and dunked on Kenyon for the Yeomen's largest lead thus far. The Yeomen continued to create distance from the Lords with field goals from Radusinovic and Otely for a score of 68-54 at the 8:22 mark. The Yeomen dominated the late half of the game, never allowing Kenyon to get any closer than nine points. Over the last three minutes, Oberlin notched another ten points for a final score of 82-69.
The victory gives Oberlin their sixth-straight win against Kenyon, dating back to February of 2018. The offensive charge was led by Radusinovic with 24 points and a trio of assists and rebounds. Otasevic recorded his first career double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. In his career debut, Spyroglou amassed an impressive stat line of 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
