Danville, KY – The Oberlin College field hockey team was no match for the Centre College Colonels as the Yeowomen fell by the score of 12-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The loss dropped the Yeowomen back to 2-1 on the young season while Centre moved to 3-0.
The Colonels scored early and often, posting seven first-half goals before adding five more in the third quarter.
Rookie
Mary Post worked the bulk of the game in goal, making 11 saves before giving way to classmate
Vanessa Baker, who made one stop in just under eight minutes of action. Fellow rookie
Jackie Oh also made a defensive save in the setback.
The Yeowomen will look to put this one in the rearview as they go right back to work tomorrow at noon against Transylvania.
