Wooster, Ohio — The Oberlin College women's lacrosse team fell to the The College of Wooster Fighting Scots 19-6 on Saturday.
Tess Siciliano led the team with two goals to bring her team-leading season total to 22 and career tally to 39. Four other Oberlin players scored in the losing effort.
After the Wooster netted four goals, the Yeowomen would get on the board when
Eliza Amber beat the Scots goalkeeper which was followed by a
Bette Imhoff goal off a feed from
Hayley Drapkin. Unfortunately, Wooster would answer with three more goals to build its lead to 7-2.
The Yeowomen would cut the Scots advantage down to 8-4 before the halftime, as
Juliet Mooney and Siciliano each recorded tallies before the break.
Wooster would blow the game open out of the intermission as they netted the first five goals of the half, leaving no doubt in the outcome.
Leah Crowther and Siciliano capped the Yeowomen scoring with 15:41 left, while the relentless Wooster offense continued to score.
All three Yeowomen goalkeepers saw action, with starter
Siena Marcelle recording 13 saves and
Maranda Phillips recording three in relief.
