Yeomen Drops NCAC Semifinal Match to No. 11 Kenyon

Indianapolis, IN — The Oberlin College men's tennis team fell to the No. 1 seed Kenyon College in the North Coast Athletic Conference Semifinals 5-0 on Saturday.

The No. 11-nationally ranked Lords swept through doubles play, with Camron Cohen and Matthew Gittings putting up the closest fight, falling 8-7 in the third flight. Stephen Gruppuso and Zachary Vaughn would come up short 8-5 in the second flight, and the Lords took to No. 1 match up 8-4.

In singles, the Lords won in the third and fourth flights to seal the victory before any of the other singles match ups finished.

The Yeomen drop to 9-12 with the loss to the No. 3 team in the region, but have a chance for third-place in the conference tomorrow. Oberlin will face the loser of the semifinal match between the No. 2-seeded Denison Big Red and No. 3 DePauw University Tigers.
