John Carroll Match
Oberlin played John Carroll tight, but failed to secure a victory. The Yeowomen fell by scores of 22-25, 21-25 and 25-27 in its final match at the tournament.
In a seesaw opening set, the Yeowomen would take a 21-17 lead when when

John Carroll ran with the momentum from the opening frame and jumped out early in the second set, but the Yeowomen clawed their way back. A stretch of three straight points for Oberlin, highlighted by Chang's two kills, would tie the set at 21, but the Blue Streaks offense came to life late again.
The Yeowomen held the lead for most of the third set. Late in the frame, Kelkar recorded a service ace and two points later the Blue Streaks committed a service error to give the Yeowomen a 25-24 lead, but John Carroll won the next three points to take the victory.
Radic led the Yeowomen offensive attack with seven kills, while Gibbs recorded six and
Lexi Mitchell racked up five. Lam set up the Oberlin offense as she tallied 22 assists in the match.
On defense, Kelkar reached down for 14 digs and Gibbs totaled eight in the final match of the weekend. Flynn-Young again led the team defensively at the net as she earned two solo blocks and one assisted.
At the end of the tournament, Mitchell was named to the all-tournament team for her strong play. The junior from Fort Mill, South Carolina recorded 33 kills, 31 digs and three blocks this weekend.
