Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's basketball team suffered an 82-50 defeat to the visiting Tigers of DePauw University on Saturday afternoon at Philips Gym.
Andre Campbell was the lone Yeomen in double figures as he posted 15 points, seven of which came from the free throw line.

Jordan Armstrong each added eight points with the latter two tying for a team-high with seven rebounds.
The Yeomen got off to a quick 5-2 start, but from then on it was all Tigers as Oberlin agonized through its largest defeat of the season, dropping back under .500 at 7-8 overall and 1-7 in the NCAC. The Tigers head back to Greencastle, Indiana, with a matching 7-8 record, but are now 3-5 in league play.
Playing without the services of starting point guard
Joshua Friedkin, the Yeomen offense was out of sync all afternoon long as they shot just 34.6 percent (18-of-52) from the floor, which included a 3-of-14 (21.4%) showing from beyond the arc. The Yeomen also did themselves a disservice at the free throw line, finishing just 11-of-20 (55%) from the stripe.
Oberlin trailed 26-16 with just over eight minutes to play in the first half, but the Tigers would step on the gas from there, opening up a 45-23 lead with 97 seconds left before ultimately taking a 46-28 advantage into the intermission.
The Yeomen never really threatened in the second half as they Tigers ballooned their cushion out to 31,75-44, with 4:53 left to play and led by no less than 29 points the rest of the way.
Ken Decker paced the Tigers with 16 points as he was a part of a DePauw bench bunch that outscored its Oberlin counterparts 42-19. Overall, DePauw checked in at 44.1 percent (30-of-68) shooting.
The Yeomen will look to bounce back when they host Allegheny College on Wednesday night at 8 p.m.
