OBERLIN, Ohio - Oberlin College women's lacrosse went ahead early and rolled past the Otterbein University Cardinals, 19-4.
The convincing win on Thursday night, under the lights of the Austin E. Knowlton Complex keeps the Yeowomen to unbeaten at 3-0. The Cards slip to 1-3.
In the opening 4:20, the Crimson and Gold netted three unanswered goals, forcing an Otterbein timeout.

Natalie Rauchle and
Josephine An tallied the opening three goals to put the Yeowomen in front early.
The Yeowomen went ahead 10-0 before the Cards could get on the board. In that span, Drapkin and Rauchle netted a hat-tricks, while fist-year
Eliza Amber and
Sydney Garvis tallied their first of the night.
With the scoreline at 10-1 in Oberlin's favor, the Yeowomen kept pouring it on, and would eventually take a 15-2 advantage into the halftime break.
The Yeowomen dialed back the offensive pressure in the second, but the deficit was too much for the Cardinals from Westerville, Ohio to vanquish. The Yeowomen tacked on four more goals in the closing 30-minutes, while Otterbein bested Alexis L'Insalata in net twice. L'Insalata came on in the second half to relieve sophomore goalie Sienna Marcelle, who collected the win. Neither Marcelle nor L'Insalata finished with a save against the Cardinals.
Including Rauchle and Drapkin's first half hat-tricks, senior
Maggie Mullard and Garvis both posted three goals against in the Thrusday-night victory.
After her opening goal An finished with two in the win, along with
Sydney Allen who posted two goals, one groundball and, one caused turnover.Â
On the draw,
Sara Phister and Rauchle split four a piece, followed by
Morgan Daruwala and Amber, who tallied three each. Phister was the game's top point-getter with five points off of one goal and four assists.
Amber and Daurwala also finished with a goal in the win.
Oberlin women's lacrosse will return to action on Wednesday, March 15, when they travel to the east side of Cleveland to tangle with the Blue Streaks of John Carroll University. Action from University Heights, Ohio is scheduled for 6 p.m.
