Rauchle Leads Yeowomen Past Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Oberlin College women's lacrosse remain undefeated as they moved past Greensbogo College, 18-6, led by Natalie Rauchle's seven goals.

The Oberlin offense was too much for the Greensboro Pride to handle as the Yeowomen remain undefeated on Friday night.

The Yeowomen seized a three-point lead in the opening 4:24. Hayley Drapkin began the Oberlin scoring run with her first goal of the night at 25:46. The Yeowomen went on top 3-0 with a goal from Maggie Mullard and a second from Drapkin, before the Pride could get on the board.

With the scoreline at 3-1 in Oberlin's favor, Rauchle tallied her first of the day on a player-up opportunity. Rauchle completed her hat-trick in the next 2:25 to push the Yeowomen in front 6-1 with 13:11 remaining in the half.

After a few possessions without a goal, the Yeowomen extended their lead before the half. Rauchle tallied her fourth of the day at the 4:16 mark on a player-up situation, followed by Sara Phister, who collected her fifth of the year to move the Yeowomen in front 8-1. The Pride managed to tack on a goal before the intermission.

Back-to-back goals from Rauchle out of the break pushed the scoreline to 10-2 in Oberlin's favor before Phister struck for her second of the game. Following a Greensboro goal, Rauchle, Drapkin, Sydney Garvis  and Phister found the back of the Pride net to move the Crimson and Gold in front 15-3.

Goals from Mullard, Phister and Josephine An brought proceedings to a close on Friday night as the Yeowomen cruised to a 12-point victory to get their Spring Break Trip rolling.

Rauchle led the Yeowomen with seven goals on 11 shots, while hauling in three draw controls and going 4-of-5 from free position shots.

Phister finished with six points on four goals and two assists to go along with two ground balls and one caused turnover and two draw controls.

Drapkin posted a hat-trick on five shots and tallied two assists, two groundballs and three caused turnovers.

The Yeowomen continue their spring break slate in North Carolina with a matchup with Guilford College on Sunday, March 19. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
