Colorado Springs, CO -- The Oberlin College women's basketball team fell to Illinois Wesleyan University by a score of 79-44 on day one of the Pikes Peak Holiday Classic hosted by Colorado College.
The Yeowomen were led by
Alex Stipano as she finished the day 5-of-14 (35.7%) from the field and made all four of her attempts from the charity stripe.
Ally Driscoll accompanied Stipano in double figures with 10 points shooting at a 3-of-8 success rate and dishing out three assists.Â
Illinois Wesleyan controlled the whole game as its stingy defense caused 26 Oberlin turnovers. The Titans shot 31-of-76 (40.8%) from the field compared to Oberlin's 19-of-55 (34.5%). The Yeowomen did have a great day shooting from the foul line as they made 11-of-15 (73.3%).Â
Oberlin falls to 6-3 on the year, while Illinois Wesleyan improves to 9-2 this season.  Â
The Yeowomen are back in action tomorrow when they face Colorado College at 5:00 p.m. EST.
