Wooster, Ohio – The Oberlin College field hockey team concluded its season on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 at The College of Wooster.
The Yeowomen hung tough with the Scots throughout the opening portion of the match, surrendering just one first-half goal as Sydney Schuster jump started her hat-trick performance in the 18
th minute.
Oberlin, which triggered six shots, had three attempts in each half, but was unable to get on the board.
Luisa McGarvey and
Meg Parker each had a shot on goal in the setback.
The Scots would add three goals in the second half to create some separation and leave no doubt in the eventual outcome.
Junior
Kennedy Kline made eight saves in the setback to finish the season with a conference-leading total of 221.
Oberlin is slated to return its entire roster next season except for senior
Dillon Sebastian, who made nine defensive saves in her career in 58 matches played.
The Yeowomen will begin their preparations for the 2018 season during the non-traditional practice period this spring.
