Crawfordsville, IN – The Oberlin College men's basketball team earned a 71-54 victory at Wabash College on Saturday afternoon to complete the season series sweep of the Little Giants.

Randy Ollie continued his strong play, leading all scorers with 19 points to go along with nine boards. He has now scored in double figures in six straight games. Junior
Jack Poyle registered his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 boards, while classmate
Zach Meyers added 14 points.
The Yeomen opened the game on a 10-3 run and a 3-pointer from
Zach Moo Young would later make it 20-14 in favor of the Yeomen with 8:28 left in the half. The Little Giants fought back within two, 20-18, but the Yeomen ultimately went into the intermission with a 27-21 lead in-hand.
Oberlin broke the game open early in the second half, starting the session with a 14-3 spurt that featured triple-hits from Meyers and Poyle to increase its advantage out to 41-24.
The Yeomen led 52-34 midway through the second half, but the Little Giants tried to get back in it with an 8-2 run of their own to cut the lead back down to 12, 54-42, with 8:11 left on the clock.
However, the Yeomen answered right back and built up a 20-point lead, 63-43, on one of Poyle's three 3-pointers with just 4:23 remaining in the game to leave no doubt in the eventual outcome.
Oberlin shot a blistering 58.1-percent, hitting on 25-of-43 attempts for its third-best shooting effort of the season. Defensively, they held the Little Giants to just a 32.8-percent clip as they made 21-of-64 attempts.
Austin Burton led Wabash with 11 points, while Daniel Purvlicis added 10.
The win moved Oberlin to 10-7 overall, already tying the team's win total from all of last season. Winners of four of their last five games, the Yeomen also moved to 5-5 in the NCAC. The Little Giants fell to 9-8 overall and dropped to 3-7 in the NCAC.
The Yeomen will conclude their four-game road swing on Wednesday night at Kenyon College. Tip-time is set for 8 p.m.
