Delaware, Ohio – Sara Phister scored a season-high five goals to lead the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team to a commanding 15-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday night.
In addition to Phister,
Maggie Mullard,
Grace Barlow and
Morgan Daruwala each registered a hat trick with three goals each.
Suzanna Doak also added a goal and two assists in the win.
The victory moved the Yeowomen's record to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Bishops fell to 3-6 and 0-1 in league play.
Alexa L'Insalata didn't see much action in goal as the Bishops had just four shots in the game. She had a shutout intact until the final 26 seconds game.
Oberlin won 14 of the game's 18 draw controls with Phister leading the way with five.
The Yeowomen finished with a 32-4 edge in shots, including a 24-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Oberlin, which was successful on 10-of-15 clears, won the ground ball battle 25-17.
The Yeowomen have the weekend off and will be back in action Tuesday, April 7 when they travel to Wittenberg for a 6 p.m. showdown.
