Oberlin, Ohio – Oberlin College women's lacrosse hosted the Otterbein University Cardinals and earned a commanding 16-1 victory under the lights of the Austin A. Knowlton Athletics Complex.
Oberlin scored early and often, with eight goals in the first half. In the end 10 different Yeowomen registered goals in the game. The Yeowomen outshot the Cards, 46-6, and were successful on 17 draw controls compared to Otterbein's two. On the draw, Oberlin's
Morgan Daruwala led the way with seven.
Junior
Grace Barlow and sophomore
Sara Phister both tabbed a pair of goals in the early going. The duo struck for the Yeowomen's first two goals before Daruwala moved Oberlin ahead 3-0. Barlow also earned assists on the two goals.
Barlow netted her second of the half at the 25:06 and senior
Kate Hanick tallied Oberlin's fifth of the game.
Suzanna Doak tallied her first before
Natalie Rauchle scored the final Yeowomen goal of the half. Otterbein scored their lone goal with 36 second left in the half to give the Yeowomen an 8-1 advantage at the break.
Doak, Rauchle and Barlow all registered goals in the second half and the Yeowomen continued to pour on goals. Barlow's second-half score was good for a hat trick. Senior

Marissa Maxfield added goals in the second to send Oberlin to a 16-1 victory.
The win leaves Oberlin unbeaten at 2-0 as they travel to Alliance, Ohio and the University of Mount Union on Saturday, March 14. Action between the Yeowomen Purple Raiders is slated for 1 p.m.
