Alexander Guo led the Oberlin College men's track and field team to a victory over Wooster by taking first in four events, while the women's track and field squad tied the Fighting Scots after senior
Jasmine Owens captured two personal bests.
The Oberlin men defeated the Fighting Scots 87-67, while Yeowomen tied Wooster 77-77.
Guo's afternoon consisted of four first-place finishes. He began with victories in the triple-jump (13.49 meters) and the long jump (5.94 meters). The senior went on to win the 60-meter dash, crossing at 7.44 seconds. Guo's final win of the day came as a member of the first-place 4x200-meter relay team.
Another member of the 4x200-meter relay team,
Jerry Choi, won the 300-meter dash with a time of 38.87 seconds.
Junior James Taylor won the 1000-meter for the Oberlin with a time of 2:38.55.
On the field side of the Yeomen squad,
Conor Narovec won both the shot put after a throw of 10.87 meters and the weight throw with a distance of 12.27 meters.
Owens led the Yeowomen with three first-place finishes on Friday, starting with personal bests in the long jump (5.22 meters) and the triple jump (10.58 meters). Owens was also a member of the first-place Yeowomen 4x200-meter relay team.

Molly Martorella took first in the 3000-meter with a time of 10:15.22.
First-year
Caitlyn Grubb finished the afternoon by turning in another strong performance, winning the shot put with a throw of 12 meters and the weight throw with a distance of 13.38 meters.
The men's and women's track and field teams will continue their seasons when they travel to Findlay University on January 25. Events are set to begin at 12 p.m.
