Durham, N.C. –
Day two of the Duke Invitational featured many promising performances by the Oberlin College track and field teams.

Local Lorain, Ohio, native Shawn Chrapczynski spearheaded the Yeomen effort by tying for 15th in the 100-meter dash at 11.11. In double the distance he posted a mark of 22.09 to finish 14th overall. Furthermore, the sophomore cleared 19-09.75 to end in 20th place.

Senior Seth Wimberly checked in six spots back of Chrapczynski in the 200 meters with a timestamp of 22.32. The Covington, Georgia, native also placed 19th in the 400 meters at 49.52.

Josh Gallagher's heave of 47-00.25 in the shot put was good for 12th place in the 26-man field. He also hurled the discus 151-04 for another 12th-place finish.

On the women's end, Marissa Clardy turned in a 25th-place effort in the 400 meters of 59.57.

Christine Moore completed the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:41.02 to place 17th overall.
